What is a Med-Psych Physician?

Physicians trained in both Internal Medicine and Psychiatry possess clinical skill sets and competencies in each respective field. My expertise lies within my unique ability to evaluate and treat the “whole person”, effectively recognizing the impact of social barriers, biological complexities, and psychological underpinnings that are driving one’s health. I am also focused on the impact of nutrition, sleep, social support, and exercise on health – as well as those preventive measures necessary for health preservation. Overall, my focus in treatment is the whole person – incorporating a team-based approach of lifestyle change into the process of health delivery – ideally helping people move from chronic disease toward wellness.

Dr. Paruch provides comprehensive assessments through an in-depth clinical interview, emphasizing a holistic exploration of one’s lifestyle. This meticulous examination encompasses aspects such as sleep patterns, physical activity, nutritional habits, and interpersonal connections. Dr. Paruch places a significant emphasis on understanding the individual’s alignment with their overarching sense of purpose, firmly believing in the equation that combines passion and purpose to yield a profound sense of meaning. Recognizing the intrinsic human need for belonging, his approach seeks to cultivate a sense of connectedness and integration within a larger purposeful framework.
